Protosphyraena pernicosa

This is the world’s only intact, articulated skeleton of Protosphyraena.
Skulls and pectoral fins have been found for 130 years, but until we discovered this complete skeleton in 2003, no one knew what it looked like. It is truly one of a kind.
Locality: Lower Niobrara Formation, Lane Co., Kansas, 85 million years old
Size: About 1.6m (5 feet) long
Availability: Final preparation and finishing as a wall mount will take 4 to 6 months from date of order, depending on mounting preference
