Protosphyraena pernicosa

Protosphyraena pernicosa

Protosphyraena pernicosa

This is the world’s only intact, articulated skeleton of Protosphyraena.

Skulls and pectoral fins have been found for 130 years, but until we discovered this complete skeleton in 2003, no one knew what it looked like. It is truly one of a kind.
