Details: 3 dimensional mount of original skull on metal stand. Skull length 26 1/2 inches (67cm). Largest Platecarpus planifrons skull on record. Fossil 85 million years old.
Comments: This gigantic Platecarpus skull was discovered in 2010 by Mike Triebold. Most of this species max out at about 18-20 inches in length, while this specimen is 25-30% larger than normal.
